AMDA visits Tayuman
Alay sa kapistahan ni Mama Mary (In honor of the feast of Mother Mary), the Association of Medical Doctors of Asia, together with the Asian Mobile Medical Services and the Immaculada Council under the Jaime Cardinal Sin Assembly lead by Senen Luna sponsored a medical and dental mission at the Immaculate Concepcion Parish in Tayuman Manila last December 6, 2009.
There were 69 patients who benefited from the dental procedures and 285 who benefited from the medical procedures. A total of 13 underwent nebulization and 12 underwent basic laboratory such as Urinalysis and Fecalysis.
These three organizations are all headed by AMDA International adviser Dr. Primitivo Chua.

AMDA visits Penaranda
October 25, 2009 - In its continuing efforts to help those whose lives have been tragically affected by various typhoons, the Association of Medical Doctors of Asia (AMDA), together with the Asian Mobile Medical Services(AMMS) and the Universal Peace Federation(UPF), sponsored a medical dental mission at Penaranda Central School in Penaranda, Nueva Ecija.
There were a total of 616 patients who were given medical care and 108 for dental. Nine patients were nebulized and 12 underwent laboratory tests which were mostly Urinalysis and Fecalysis, and 37 patients undertook Basic Electrocardiogram.
Headed by Dr. Primitivo Chua and his team of dedicated volunteers which included AMDA Philippines Vice-President Dr. Louell L. Sala and Registered Medical Technologist(RMT) Roland Alcayaga of AMMS, they were billeted at Dreamwaters resort courtesy of Mayor Crisanto P. Legaspi and his family.
"Although still known for its beautiful churches, most of the residents of Penaranda suffer from infectious diseases brought about by the recent floodings which included a case of leptospirosis," said Dr. Louell L. Sala of AMDA Philippines.

AMDA visits Typhoon victims in Pasig
October 11, 2009 - With the devastation of typhoons Ondoy and Peping, the Association of Medical Doctor's of Asia (AMDA-Philippines) headed by AMDA International Adviser Dr. Primitivo Chua with AMDA International Vice-President Dr. Yoneyuki Kobayashi from Japan, together with various organizations, The Asian Mobile Medical Services, the Asian Medical Students Association, the Universal Peace Federation, Manila Chinatown Lions Club, Jin Jiang Hua Hi Association of the Philippines, St. Jude Catholic School Batch 84, North Park Noodle House, Good Fellow Foundation, The Jaime Cardinal Sin Assembly, sponsored a medical/surgical/dental mission at the Meditation Building, Philippine Sports Complex (formerly Ultra) in Pasig City.
A total of 541 victims benefited from the mission, most of which were from the heavily flooded areas of Pasig, Taguig and most parts of Antipolo. There were 48 victims who underwent dental procedures, 16 who underwent basic laboratory tests like Urinalysis, Fecalysis and RBS and 7 underwent nebulization. This initiative headed by Dr. Chua urges the victims to look forward to the future and adopt the "Bangon Pilipino" sentiment.

"It was very timely that we were able to help the victims of the flood, provide them basic Out Patient tests like Urinalysis, Fecalysis and RBS in such short time," says Dr. Christina Dizon, volunteer physician.
AMDA - Philippines is one of the few organizations which provide basic laboratory tests like Urinalysis, Fecalysis, Complete Blood Count and RBS in all its medical missions.

AMDA visits Krus na Ligas
September 27, 2009 - With the catastrophe brought by Typhoon Ondoy, the Association of Medical Doctors of Asia lead by AMDA International Adviser Dr. Primitivo Chua together with volunteer dentists from the NPO CAMP(Culture Assistance Medicine Peace) of Japan and the Aewon Foundation for Social Welfare of Korea, the Asian Mobile Medical Services and the Quezon City Government headed by Atty. Edcel B. Lagman Jr. of the 4th district sponsored a medical and dental mission at Barangay Krus na Ligas in Quezon City.
Around 300 patients benefited from the mission which ended with the closing address of Dr. Louell L. Sala, Vice President of AMDA-Philippines, thanking all the volunteers especially for the Korean dentists headed by Sohn Hyohyun and Japanese dentists headed by Morisada Hoshikawa in their efforts in coming to the Philippines amidst the lack of electric power and persistent floods that submerged most of the cities in Metro Manila. "We are grateful that in the event of such a disaster, we can count on our asian neighbors for help," he said.

AMDA visits the historic Pasig River
August 1, 2009 - The Association of Medical Doctor's of Asia in cooperation with the Asian Mobile Medical Services (AMMS) performed a Medical Mission at Barangay Maybunga, Pasig City just a few steps from the historic Pasig River. In the spirit of living for others movement, AMDA performed 207 medical services, 33 dental services and nebulized 10 patients together with the municipality of Maybunga led by Brgy. Chairman Jun Jun Conception.
We had a most venerable time and we are grateful that we were given the opportunity to be of service among the impoverished. We are also thankful especially to the Women's League of the Living for Others Movement in their selfless dedication to alleviate the plight of the poor in Pasig, said AMMS volunteer Ms. Nellybeth M. Javier.

AMDA welcomes ION FOR LIFE
The Association of Medical Doctors of Asia - Philippines, together with the Lions Club International District 301 - A1 and the Asian Mobile Medical Services held a symposium entitled Scalar Anti Radiation Symposium last June 17, 2009 at China Place of the Pan Pacific Hotel in Ermita Manila.
The opening remarks was given by Honorary Adviser of AMDA - Philippines Dr. Primitivo Chua and the company ions for life gave a wonderful product presentation by Mr. Walter Yee and Freddie Yeoh.

AMDA visits Paranaque
May 24, 2009 - AMDA, in association with the Manila Chinatown Lions Club and the Asian Mobile Medical Services, performed a medical mission in St. Joseph Church, Quirino Avenue, Paranaque City, Philippines.
Together with volunteer physicians, Dr. Hazel Laurente, Dr. Jarldine Garcia, Dr. Louell Sala and AMDA International Adviser Dr. Primitivo Chua, a total of 142 patients benefited from the medical mission. There were also 42 patients who benefited from the Dental procedures, and since the our medical mission also has its own laboratory with a registered Medical Technologist Mr. Ronald Alcayaga, we had 18 patients who underwent Fasting Blood Sugar, Urinalysis and a Complete Blood Count.
It was an enriching experience, said Dr. Laurente, for we were able not just to provide medical care but also touch the lives of the people in Paranaque.
